Pirate Ship “Black Swan”

An excellent looking 1/72 ship with a lot of possibilities. After release the excellent Zvezda – 9037 – Black Pearl in 2010, Zvezda retooled some of the sprues changing minor decoration elements such the Figurehead to create this second release but equally excellent and complex as algo goes largely over the 800 parts. Without the cinematographic impulse of the Black Pearl this kit has been less released and is out of the Zvezda Catalogue, but also was released under Revell brand as Revell – 05605 – Pirate Ship and both references are still available, check both before buy because depending on your are one or another can be cheaper and easier to find.

Zvezda did not release ever a figure set able to populate such nice ships but other makers did and effort to cover the Pirates figures subject in 1/72 scale, and some of the figures can be usable. Not specifically created as Pirates and though intended for an earlier era, the large Red Box coverage for early centuries can be useful as most of the figures wear plain clothes.
