UM – 318 – Armoured Vehicle BA-6

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet BA-3/6 heavy armored car developed during 30s.

They were fitted with the powerful at the time T-26 m.1933 turret, with a 45mm gun, able to knock out every single tank of the time. The thin armor and the poor off-road performance limited the use of the BA-3/6 cars, as well as the quick develop of the tanks during the WWII.

Seems UM has issued this kit with two different turrets, a full hard plastic turret and also a resin cast turret with metal barrel. In any case this kit is the best option for this model available in injected plastic 1/72 scale and it’s in general terms a good kit, with some little fit problems that requires modeler to be careful.

Captured examples were also used by Finnish army, and such markings seems to be included in decal sheet in some of the releases, though they are not detailed in the instructions sheet.
