ACE – 72438 – USAF Armored Patrol Car XM-706 E2

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Cadillac Gage Commando (Usually designated M706) armored car developed during Vietnam War, in a specific configuration issued to Air Forces for Air Bases patrolling. XM706E2 featured no turret and an open-topped center parapet with a variety of weapons mounted, being a M2HB machine gun and one M60 machine gun the most common configuration as the kit depicts.

ACE has developed other kits with variants of the Cadillac Gage Commando and this is a nice addition to the range. Features some PE detail parts and rubber wheels as rest of the kits in the family and adds a new sprue with the different parts, including roof, machine guns and gun’s shields.

Decal shield includes three markings for Vietnam War, two dated 1969 in Vietnam air bases, and one marking for the USAF forces deployed in Thailand in 1972.
