Attack – 72962 – Light Tank LT-40 37mm gun version Slovak and Soviet Army

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Czechoslovak design light tank L-40, a design similar to the LT vz. 38 (Panzer 38(t)) but reduced by a quarter. Only around 21 units were constructed and all of them were delivered to Slovakia in 1940.

Slovakia received around 21 units of this tank, from an order initially intended for Lithuania, but after Soviet occupation tanks were delivered to Slovakia in 1940. Originally they were delivered without weapons sight and radio, and many had to saw action in the early days of the Russian invasion in 1941 fitted just with machine guns. Later they (all but one, 20 vehicles) were refitted with a 37mm Škoda A7 gun. We can’t ensure any of these tanks were captured by Russians and press into service, but it could had happen.

Update of kit Attack Kits – 72961 – LIGHT TANK LT-40 MACHINE GUN VERSION (see the original kit with more parts pictures) with new parts (37mm gun) and new decal sheet with Slovak and Soviet markings. Include PE and metal parts such gun barrel.
