Attack Kits – 72961 – LIGHT TANK LT-40 MACHINE GUN VERSION

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Czechoslovak design light tank L-40, a design similar to the LT vz. 38 (Panzer 38(t)) but reduced by a quarter. Only around 21 units were constructed and all of them were delivered to Slovakia in 1940, formally the tanks were produced in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia under German control.

The tanks delivered to Slovakia had no cannons, machine guns, radios and optics and initially Slovakia fitted them with machine guns, and so took part in the early campaign in the USSR. The kit depicts this early version.

Kit includes decal with two markings, dated 1941, number of parts is not very high, around 45 parts in total and not all to use in this variant, and construction is simplified by a single piece tracks-and-wheels part per side. This kit is a new tool in 2023.
