German Tractor and Pak 40 (3 Ton. Half-Track and Pak 40)

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII Sd.Kfz.11 half-track, designed as prime mover for a wide range of WWII guns, anti-tank guns and anti-aircraft guns from the 3.7 cm FlaK 43 anti-aircraft gun up to the 10.5 cm leFH 18 field howitzer, PaK 40 AT gun, Nebelwerfer 41 and many others.

After release the Sd.Kfz.11 kit (ESCI – 8348 – 8015 – Sd. Kfz. 11 German Tractor (3 TON. Halftrack Sd. Kfz. 11)) and the weapons pack (ESCI – 8020 – German Anti-Tank Gun) ESCI just had to add the sprue of the PaK 40 to the Sd.Kfz.11 kit to create this combo box. They could have added also a Nebelwerfer 41 from the ESCI – 8033 – Nebelwerfer 41 kit.

As the Sd.Kfz.11 kit, the early ESCI releases (Including Polistil, Aurora, ESCI-Revell or ESCI-Hasegawa) the kit only included the ugly single piece tracks. The later ESCI-Ertl releases added link-and-length tracks, also present in the Italeri releases. Sadly this late link-and-length tracks also lacks of inner detail like track teeth and hinge.
