First to Fight – 096 – Renault R39 37 mm SA38

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a French Renault R35, in an upgraded version, named R40, officially named Char léger modèle 1935 R modifié 1939. The specification included also other important changes as suspension and radio, but the kit offers and old R35 with a long-barrelled L/35 37mm SA38 in the adapted cast APX-R1 turret (with L767 sigh), a modification that also happened, in low numbers, as main priority was to upgrade the Hotchkiss H35. This only gun update to retrofit older R35s is commonly named R39.
