Panhard 178 B

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a French WW2 Panhard AMD 178 armoured car, B version.

In the late 1944 a new turret was designed, named FL1, with a cylindrical shape and space enough to accomodate the 75 mm SA 45 L/32 gun, although finally the smaller 47mm SA35 gun and a machine gun were decided as armament for the production version. They type also had engine and radio improvements. The type was produced once the WW2 was over and used by France in the colonies, some of them, lasting in service till 60s.

Kit share the common base sprue with 45 parts and a new turret sprue with 18 parts.

Decals are all for colonial service vehicles, including 2 markings for Indo-china and another 2 for North Africa.
