The Stryker M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV) is a variant of the Stryker family of 8×8 wheeled armored vehicles used primarily by the U.S. Army. Designed for rapid deployment and versatility, the M1127 serves as the eyes and ears of Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCTs), providing vital battlefield reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities. It’s crewed by a driver, vehicle commander, gunner, and typically carries a small scout squad equipped to dismount and operate independently if needed. The vehicle balances mobility, protection, and communication systems to gather and relay information in real time.

In terms of armament, the M1127 is usually equipped with a Remote Weapon Station (RWS) mounting either a .50 caliber M2 machine gun or a 40mm automatic grenade launcher. It features advanced optics, laser rangefinders, GPS, and communications gear to support its recon role. While it’s not intended to engage heavily armored threats directly, it’s fast, maneuverable, and protected against small arms fire and shrapnel, making it ideal for forward observation and screening missions. Its wheeled configuration allows for quick strategic movement over long distances, both on and off road, and it can be air-transported by C-130 aircraft, giving it excellent operational flexibility.

Update in the Transform Striker family. Kit include 3D printed wheels and a 3D printed piece for the Long Range Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) that vehicle mounts. Include also PE (photo-etched) parts and decal sheet with 4 marking options. The kit can be built with some options, as the M240B machine gun in the rear or the HF Antenna, that’s why box states it’s a “2 in 1” kit.
