The M1130 Stryker Command Vehicle (CV) is a key component of the Stryker family of wheeled armored vehicles, developed by General Dynamics Land Systems for the U.S. Army. Based on the 8×8 Stryker chassis, the M1130 is designed to serve as a mobile tactical command post, providing commanders with the tools and protection needed to maintain control and situational awareness during combat operations.

Externally, the M1130 resembles other Stryker variants, with its high mobility wheeled platform, sloped armor, and relatively compact size. However, internally it is equipped with a specialized command and control suite, including advanced communications systems, battlefield management computers, and multiple radios. These allow it to act as a node in a digital battlefield network, ensuring real-time coordination between front-line units, support elements, and higher command levels.

The vehicle carries a crew of two—driver and vehicle commander—and accommodates additional staff officers and personnel, typically up to six more. It is equipped with add-on armor protection to resist small arms fire, IED blasts, and shrapnel, and features NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection systems to safeguard its occupants. Like other Stryker variants, the M1130 can be fitted with a Remote Weapon Station (RWS), often mounting a .50 caliber machine gun or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher for self-defense.

Highly mobile, thanks to its 8×8 wheeled layout and powerful diesel engine, the M1130 can keep pace with mechanized formations, reposition quickly, and operate in diverse environments from urban centers to open terrain. It has been deployed in multiple theaters, including Iraq and Afghanistan, where its mobility and digital communications capabilities proved crucial in supporting dynamic, decentralized operations.

Trumpeter has a large tradition of Stryker armored vehicles with no less than 7 related releases in total. Kit consists of over 90 parts and include rubber wheels. Decal sheet allows two markings at least.
