The M1134 Stryker ATGM Vehicle belongs to a family of eight-wheeled armored fighting vehicles adapted from the Canadian LAV III, with General Dynamics Land Systems manufacturing Stryker vehicles for the United States Army. Specifically designed to offer anti-armor overwatch capabilities, the ATGM Vehicle enables the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) to focus on deploying soldiers swiftly and securely using M1126 infantry carrier vehicles. Serving as the primary tank destroyer for the SBCT, it can effectively engage armored threats up to 4 km away through the deployment of the TOW missile system. The ATGM Vehicle enhances the SBCT’s standoff capabilities by utilizing its SACLOS guided missiles, effective at ranges surpassing those of typical cannons, autocannons, or small arms. Featuring 4-wheel drive (8×4) with the option to switch to all-wheel drive (8×8), it offers versatility in various operational scenarios.
