M983 HEMTT & M901 Launching Station w/MIM-104 Patriot SAM System (PAC-2)

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile launcher towed by a M983 HEMTT heavy tractor, PAC-2 type (MIM-104C), and upgrade started in the late 80s, focused on ballistic missile interception, by either improving the radar search algorithms and the missile itself, increasing the size of the projectiles in its blast-fragmentation warhead from 2 grams to 45 grams and the timing of the pulse-Doppler radar fuse. Engagement procedures for ballistic missiles were also updated, firing two missiles with a sightly delay between them instead of simultaneously.

The PAC-2 reached the units on time for Gulf War, 1991.

Kit consists of over 150 parts, includes rubber tires.
