UM (UniModel) – 540 – Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.B

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII Panzer IV tank, Ausf. B variant, an early variant produced in limited numbers during 1938 (around 42 units in total). Ausf.B variant introduced some improvements over the earlier A series, but retained the short 75mm gun as main armament, Kampfwagenkanone 37 7.5 cm KwK 37 tank gun.

Together with an improved engine and transmission, the B variant notable changes include an increment on the glacis plate armor, up to 30mm, new commanders cupola (adopted from Panzer III Ausf. C), smoke grenade discharger rack and replaced the frontal ball-mounted machine gun by a firing/pistol port.

Kit is based on previous Panzer IV releases by UM with new parts for B variant.
