UM (UniModel) – 552 – Panzer IV/70(V) (Sd.Kfz.162/1)

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII assault gun/anti-tank JagdPanzer IV/70 (V) build over a Panzer IV tank chassis. The (V) stands for manufacturer Vomag and the /70 indicates it uses the Pak 42 L/70 gun, a very capable 7,5cm anti tank gun. This variant was the most produced with almost 1000 units, produced between August 1944 and March 1945.

Kit reuses parts from previous Panzer IV releases by UniModel, with link-and-length type tracks and a high number of parts for wheels, suspension and tracks. Kit add new parts for upper hull and new PE (photo-etched) parts. Kit can be assembled with or without Schürzen, the side armor similar to todays Slat armor. Schürzen parts are all PE parts.
