UMMT – 707 – Armored locomotive of the Armored Train “Commissar Lestev” (45th ODBP)

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Soviet WWII armored locomotive, part of the “Commissar Lestev” armored train, build between late 1941 and early 1942. The locomotive based on the OV Type had 25mm armor and one of the unique features of this particular locomotive is that a 45mm T-26 turret was fitted at the end of the tender. Note that many of the armored trains build during this period were not standardized and factories produced different armor configurations even when based in same standard locomotives or platforms.

The “Commissar Lestev”, armored train Nº2 of the 45th ODBP survived till the end of the war.

Kit include a large number of PE (photo-etched) parts and as usual in the brand include rail segments without rail bed for display.
