White Oak Swamp – 1862

1/72 Scale ACW Diorama of White Oak Swamp in 1862 depicting Confederate troops.

Using mainly Strelets figures, from sets Strelets – 156 – Confederate Infantry Standing and Strelets – 158 – Confederate Skirmishing and using an oldie look and feel for the pictures.

Words by Brian,
I find the Stretlets poses more suitable for the diorama scene White Oak Swamp.  Actually the photographer figure gave me the idea.
Photos of Confederates in the field were almost non-existant.
By 1863 most southern photographers had ceased their work.  Some were European and had returned home.

I do like the facial detail on the Italeri and Hat figures better, but the Confederate uniforms represented by Stretlets are more typical of southern soldiers.

My upcoming diorama on Antietam will use mostly the marching set and various Italeri Cavalry and Command figures.

By our friend Brian F. from Canada.
