Ju 87 G-2 Kanonenvogel

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII ground attack plane Junkers Ju-87, in a specific anti-tank configuration, with two 37mm Bordkanone BK 3,7 cannons fitted in pods under each wing. The guns used a special armour-piercing tungsten ammunition, with 12 rounds per gun in two six rounds magazines. After successful trials of the G-1 variant, G-2 was ordered into production, both based on D airframes, the G-2 based in the D-5. This variant was the last operational Stuka variant developed during 1943.

Kit is a re-issue of same kit with code number 1221 released in 2001, and inheritor of parts of the previous Ju-87 by Italeri releases with the new parts for the guns. Despite of originally based on a kit released in the 90s, the Italeri Ju-87 line enjoyed popularity because it’s accuracy and engineering, being also released since then under Tamiya brand, Revell or Zvezda.

Includes a new decal sheet wit four markings, dated 1944 and 1945.
