M983 Tractor
with AN/TPY-2 X Band Radar

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. AN/TPY-2 Surveillance radar towed by a M983 tractor. The TPY-2 is a long-range and high altitude radar designed to work with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) but also with the lower range Patriot PAC-3.

Kit released in 2022, part of the M983 related vehicles family released by Trumpeter, started in 2021 with the Patriot PAC 3, a kit that can works together with this one. The kit adds new parts for the AN/TPY-2 radar and includes a decal sheet with one marking. Kit consists of over 110 parts and includes rubber tires.
