Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German WWII Panther tank, Ausf. A variant.

ESCI tooled this kit in 1974, initially with the ugly single piece tracks, but sadly, when ESCI-Ertl updated the kit to link and length tracks, didn’t a great job and both kind of tracks are quite bad, while the kit, and although ESCI never said the version in the title, builds as a decent Ausf. A Panther tank. Except for the tracks, the kit is comparable to Revell – 03107 – Panther Ausf.D/Ausf.A.

During 70s and early 80s this kit was released under Hasegawa-ESCI, Revell (before their own tool), Ertl, Humbrol, Aurora or Polistil. Italeri also reissued the kit as Italeri – 7018 – Sd. Kfz. 171 Pz. Kpfw. V PANTHER Ausf. A many years ago.
