Acrobunch

Acrobunch is a 24 episodes Mecha Anime TV series aired in 1982. The main character of the series was a super-robot (Acrobunch) formed by five different models to build up, two cars to build the legs, two motorcycles to build the arms and one aircraft to build up body and head.

Aoshima released the same year all the models required to build Acrobunch in 1/72 scale, and this is the list of kits you will find under this subject.

The brand also released more super-robots from the series, but using 1/144 or 1/100 scale, which you know, are out of the scope of our site.

The series is often also referred as “Demon Region Legendary Acrobunch”, “Demon Regions Legend Acrobunch”, “Ruins Legend Acrobunch” or “Acrobanch”, and in France, where the series also achieved some popularity (aired in 1985), it was renamed to L’Empire des Cinq and Askadis – La Légende de l’empire perdu, and Acrobunch was renamed as “Thorn-Rock”.

Kits are very basic, with little detail, engineered as snap fit kits, with top quality color printed instructions and water-slide decal sheets.
