The Academy 1/72 Road Attacker, catalog number SA164-700, is one of the rarest kits tied to Tokuso Kihei Galvion. Produced in the 1990s, this model stands apart from the more common ARII releases by representing the Road Attacker in its standalone vehicle form. The kit was molded in white and blue plastic and featured box art that closely followed the mecha’s anime design.

In the Galvion series, the Road Attacker is central to the show’s mechanical concept. It’s the high-speed, transforming base vehicle piloted by the protagonists, forming the lower half of the Galvion robot when combined with the upper module. Unlike the Chaser units or Metal Battlers, which operate independently in combat, the Road Attacker is a transformation-driven vehicle—agile, stylish, and essential to deployment. It’s depicted with a sleek nose, vented side pods, and powerful rear boosters, all of which are reflected in the proportions of the kit.
