LS – 4015 – Road Attacker (Galvion)

Description:

The LS 1/72 Road Attacker, catalog number 4015, was released in 1984 as part of LS’s short-lived Galvion I model line. This kit faithfully represents the ground vehicle form of the Road Attacker, the key chassis used by the protagonists in Chō Kōsoku Galvion. While the transformation into Galvion’s upper robot form was iconic in the anime, LS’s kit captures only the vehicle mode.

The kit was issued under “Galvion Series LS No. 4 – Road Attacker Galvion I”. In its native form, the model is molded in a single-tone styrene—white.

As a rare LS release from 1984, this kit offers collectors a unique representation of the Road Attacker distinct from the Academy version. It remains a low-profile piece in the aftermarket, typically selling around USD 25–35 depending on condition.

The LS tooling was very similar to one used by ARII in their 1984 releases, using same kind of joins and pretty much same level of detail. Both brands as commercial relation, later several aircraft sets originally produced by LS were released under ARII and later Micro ACE brands, but this Galvion model became available only under LS brand.
