Clear Prop Models – 72019 – DH.88 Comet

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a British de Havilland DH.88 Comet, a 30s twin-seat and twin-engined aircraft developed specifically to participate in the 1934 England-Australia MacRobertson Air Race from the United Kingdom to Australia. The de Havilland DH.88 Comet G-ACSS Grosvenor House eventually won the race and this is the marking depicted in the kit.

Kit features and excellent detail as usually Clear Prop Models do. Contains a high number of parts complemented with a small PE sheet with details such belts and more. It’s a very recommendable model but for experienced modelers.

The subject was previously covered by Kovozávody Prostějov (KP), see 1/72 de Havilland DH.88 Comet, but in this case there is a clear winner about the quality of the kit, and it’s the Clear Prop redemption of this iconic aircraft.
