Description:

The Let L-33 Solo was developed in the late 1980s by LET Kunovice as a single-seat successor to the popular Let L-23 Super Blaník, focusing on providing a training platform for solo glider flight after basic dual instruction.

The L-33 Solo features an all-metal airframe, with a semi-monocoque fuselage and metal wings and tail surfaces. It’s notable for its robustness, ease of handling, and forgiving flight characteristics, making it an ideal trainer for pilots transitioning to solo soaring. It has a wingspan of 14.12 meters (about 46 feet) and a glide ratio around 33:1, which, while modest compared to high-performance competition sailplanes, is excellent for training purposes. Its cockpit is roomy and ergonomically simple, offering good visibility, all of which contribute to a very pilot-friendly experience.

This is a 2025 new tooled kit, offers three markings for the Let L-33 for Czech, Slovenian and Isle of Man aircrafts.
