Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Northrop F-15 Reporter, an unarmed photo-reconnaissance aircraft developed from the Northrop P-61 Black Widow fighter and introduced in 1946.

F-15A retained several parts from P-61C, as wings (with different brakes) or tail section, but fuselage and nose was totally new. Accepted into production in 1946 and with an important order from the U.S. Air Force, contract was early ended on 1947 with only around 36 units build.

Despite the low number of units produced, the F-15As had an important role during the Korean War because the photographies of Korean Peninsula taken by F-15As during their service in Japan 1947-1949 were the only aerial maps of Korea at the start of the war in 1950.

This is a new tool kit of 2024, consists of 178 plastic parts, include also PE parts, paint mask and decal sheet (Cartograf print) with 3 U.S. markings to chose from, all dated in the period 1947-1948 stationed at Iruma Air Base (Johnson Air Base at the time) in Japan.
