Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of U.S. Republic F-84 Thunderjet fighter-bomber aircraft developed in the late 40s and retired by 60s-70s and in the case of the F-84Fs even later as 90s, in a swept-wing F-84F variant that finally was a major redesign of the F-84 (straight wing) and could be considered a different aircraft. The design and production of the F-84F was delayed several times and when entered in production and service (mid 50s) was quickly phased out in the U.S. service, but the type was widely exported to NATO and other allies where in some case lasted much longer into service.

This particular set focused in German Luftwaffe markings, which received around 450 F-84Fs and over a hundred of the RF-84F (photo reconnaissance) variant in 1955 and were retired by 1966.

Include decal sheet with 4 German markings, dated in the 60s, includes one marking for a crashed aircraft, Czechoslovak territory 1959, and the kit, as a very special edition, includes a small fragment of the real crashed aircraft.

The kit is an original Special Hobby tool from 2023 with new decal sheet.
