Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Republic F-84F Thunderstreak fighter and fighter-bomber developed during 50s from Republic F-84 Thunderjet.

The F-84F Thunderstreak, a swept-wing jet fighter, evolved from the Republic F-84G straight-wing aircraft. Incorporating a swept wing and a more powerful jet engine elevated its performance to rival that of the F-86 Sabre. Initially facing challenges with power units, maneuverability, and corrosion, the F-84F later became a key asset during the Berlin Crisis, reinforcing NATO forces. Its deployment expanded beyond the USAF and US Guard units to equip various NATO air forces, including Germany and France. While originally used in the Suez Crisis, the F-84F’s notable combat achievements included Turkish units intercepting Iraqi Il-28 bombers violating Turkish airspace. Operating in both domestic and overseas capacities, the F-84F served in Europe and the Pacific.

Kit offers four USAF marking schemes, featuring two flown in the US and two in the UK. Special Hobby’s F-84F kit boasts meticulous detailing and provides options for both closed and open canopy hood configurations, along with a variety of underwing payload across four styrene sprues and one clear parts sprue. Kit doesn’t include PE detail parts or resin cast parts.
