Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a Bristol 192 Belvedere, a British twin engined tandem rotor military helicopter developed in the late 50s early 60s as a further develop of several cancelled projects originally intended for the British Navy.

Despite the 192 Belvedere featured many interesting characteristics its origins as a naval helicopter caused several design flaws such a undercarriage unusually tall (intended to leave space for anti-submarine torpedoes) and engines positions, at the end of the cabin, limited the cargo and the possibility of a rear cargo door. In the good features it was capable to fly just with one engine and set up several speed records during service.

In total only 26 192 Belvedere were completed and they were operated only for a decade, from 1961 to 1969. They were capable of transport 18 fully equipped troops.

Reissue of the original 1959 Airfix kit of the Bristol 192 Belvedere. Kit consists of 50 plastic parts and include decal sheet with two markings.
