V3000S/SSM Maultier German Halftrack with Flak 38

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a German Ford V3000S truck, based on the Ford Type T 098/099 models. This trucks continued production even beyond 1941 war declaration between USA and Germany. They models were largely modified to align with the standardization process imposed by the Schell plan.

V3000S was the basic truck of the line, with a rear-wheel drive. In the winter of 1941/1942 a Waffen SS unit fitted three of these trucks with a Carden-Lloyd chain drive of a captured British Universal Carrier, giving birth to the Ford V3000S/SSM “Maultier” (Sd.Kfz.3b).

Kit also incorporates a Flak 38 from kit IBG – 72076 – Flak 38 German Anti-Aircraft Gun.

Kit includes PE parts, especially the Flak gun, which have shields entirely done of photo etched parts, as well as other details.
