Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Cadillac Gage Commando, designed for the United States Military Police Corps during the Vietnam War, a 4×4 armored car produced from mid 60s.

Deployment to a conflict zone like Vietnam exposed limitations and weak points of the Cadillac Gage Commando and many field modifications were done to improve the model and ultimately lessons learned introduced production modifications in the model, which is what this kit try to address here. The kit is a modification of kit Trumpeter – 07439 – M706 Commando Armored Car in Vietnam, very noticeable are the smoke grenades dispensers in the turret and the rear mount for a machine gun, usually a .30 caliber machine gun. Main machine guns in the main turret are also updated in this model. This kind of modifications were usually performed by the ARVN (The Army of the Republic of Vietnam).

Update in the series of Cadillac Gage Commando kits (find them all in the related kits section) by Trumpeter with new parts to accommodate changes of the version.
