Academy – 2112 – B-50D SUPERFORTRESS

Description:

Unassembled plastic model kit in 1/72 scale of a U.S. Boeing B-50 Superfortress strategic bomber, an update design of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, with new engines. Introduced in 1948 was also the base for the C-97 and KC-97 as well as for the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser passengers aircraft.

Around 370 units were build, and retired in 1965, was finally the last piston engine bomber produced by Boeing for the USAF.

The kit was originally tooled by the Academy/Minicraft association in 1991. One year later was released just under Academy brand. The kit include decal sheet with one single, all metal, marking.
