DreamModel is releasing a very interesting DreamModel – DM720024 – KA-52 Russian Attack Helicopter. The kit include a large amount of 3D printed parts, mainly for the weapons payload but not only and in most of the cases, the 3D parts are not replacements more detailed for plastic parts, but unique parts no available in the plastic kit. This allows to keep a more basic plastic frames with less details and delicate parts, which are moved to 3D printed or PE (photo-etched) parts. We feel that for a time, maybe during a transition period till 3D print technology allows to keep prices for a large a mount of production and large parts, this will be a good way to go for many manufacturers, simplified moulds and detailed parts in 3D printed technology. The kit itself is a well engineered kit and an interesting version of the KA-52.

Excellent news by Special Navy, who is releasing an awesome Special Navy – 72007 – Kriegsfischkutter “WWII German Patrol and Minesweeper Ship”, certainly one of the most produced vessels of the war. The kit has room for improvement as doesn’t include PE parts, and guns could be replaced by metal tubes, as well as some minor detail. Surely soon aftermarket products will appear to cover the gap. In our opinion this is one of the best new tools for 2025 and a beautiful model.
