Both Kovozávody Prostějov and AZ Model have several new releases for this month. We start by adding two new Scottish Aviation Bulldog kits by KP, adding new decal sheets as novelty, they are Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) – BLK0004 – S.A. Bulldog and Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) – BLK0002 – S.A.Bulldog, followed by two more Avia BH-10s, Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) – BLK0003 – Avia BH-10 with skis and Kovozávody Prostějov (KP) – BLK0001 – Avia BH-10.

The kits are AZ Model – AZ7881 – Yokosuka K5Y1 “Willow” and AZ Model – AZ7882 – Yokosuka K5Y2 “Willow”. The Yokosuka K5Y (or Kawanishi K5Y) remained as the main intermediate trainer aircraft of the Japanese Navy during all the WWII.

Fine Molds is embarked in a frenetic releases rate compared to their output of the previous two decades and adds three new releases coming soon, reusing again their F-4 kit in Fine Molds – FX03 – F-4J U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Fine Molds – FF04 – F-4J VF-96 “Show Time 100”, and adding one more to the F-15J list, Fine Molds – FF02 – Japan Air Self Defense Force F-15J J-MSIP (With Pilot figure). We are not particularly fans of the new policy of the brand, the Fine Molds – FF02 just adds a pilot figure, and two new markings, and the list of releases of the same kind and special editions is rising dangerously. In the other hand the kits are of excellent quality, detail and engineering.

Always a good news to add a new manufacturer to the list of 1/72 scale plastic figures section, and in this occasion we welcome Chintoys, a classic 1/32 scale plastic figures manufacturer that jumps into 1/72 scale with two new sets, devoted to the Battle of Marathon, of which we included today Chintoys – CHT72002 – Greeks at Marathon. Chintoys is a Russian manufacturer that had factory in Ukraine and is not clear the new status of the brand or what will be the availability of these sets. Everyone who has follow us in the last years knows our opinion about the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine but we keep adding all manufacturers according to our capabilities despite its origin. In any case, if Chintoys new production facilities are located in Russia, availability of these sets will be very limited in many countries.

2024-09-24

As advanced yesterday, today we added the second Chintoys set (the first by code number), Chintoys – CHT72001 – Persians at Marathon. Both sets are nice additions for the range.
